Update from St. Louis

Well we are still here in St. Louis, Missouri unfortunatly.  I haven't been very happy about it because I got all excited to go back to Utah, and then we didn't go.
I'm like a little kid you promise me cookies.....
and I'm grumpy until I get cookies......
and if there are no cookies....
Well then I through a fit.

I've decided I should be more honest in my life, don't get me wrong I always try to live my life with integrity, but I thought that I should be more honest with my self and my feelings.  You know how you hold stuff in just cuz its easier well thats what I do.

We have had quite a bit of drama here the past week.  Well basically the whole summer, I won't get into much detail because everyone I know is probably so sick of hearing me complain.  But lets just say that if you love drama Pinnacle Security is the company you should work for!

We did have a lot of fun the past week though with The Hollingsworth.  Brent and Noelle are so nice and we hit it off super fast.  Brent also sells for Pinnacle Security, but his office has a lot less drama.  Noelle is a real houswife of a Pinnacle Security Rep just like me!

We had loads of fun going to the Anheuser-Busch brewery....

One of their amazing Clydesdale Horses.

L and I in the cleanest stable I have ever been in.
We stopped by the St. Louis Science Center.  Which was interesting, we wanted to see the Pirate Exibit by National Geographic but they wanted to charge us $16 a person to go in, so the pirate exibit will remain a mystery to us.
It did have this gem which was awesome it was a huge maze for these balls to go through, it was mezmerizing and lets just say the picture does not give do it justice.
We went and visited the arch again, and got to ride back up to the top.  This time wasn't as cool especially cuz there were a couple people up there that kept farting and it is very small quaters up there.
After that we went to Pappy's the best smokehouse in St. Louis.

My favorite part is the baked beans, yumm they are so delicious! I could eat some right now actually!
We then went to the city museum Friday night which was AWESOME! It was like a giant jungle gym for adults! It was kind of gross cuz you would be like crawling and it was dirty, but it was so awesome! I told L I want to go back like every day!
Here are some more pictures of the museum.  Its cool too because it goes inside the building too!

Well that was such a fun week its hard getting back into the regular routine of sitting at home and being alone for most of the day.  But i'm trying to put on a brave face and muster through extention.

Wish me luck!

Bored in a hotel room...

So I thought i'd do an update of what Les and I have been up to lately sense, i'm stuck in a boring hotel room with nothing to do! Oh life, your either too busy, or too bored. Anywho, so I guess I'll start with the most recent activity, sense that is the way the pictures uploaded. So today Les and I actually went to Nauvoo and Carthage. Which was awesome we want to go back soon and spend more time because we actually only got to spend a few hours at Nauvoo, and like 40 min at Carthage. Which was unforunate, but we took what we could get!
So this is a picutre of the window that Joseph Smith fell out of after he was shot twice from outside the window and twice in the back. Pretty weird being in the room that he spent his last few days in. It definatly was a sombering experience. Here is another picture of the same window, if you look closely you can see Les's face in the window!

Here is a picture of the same door that Hyrum Smth tried to hold closed and was shot and killed throught, the bullet holes are still there, it was crazy to see the same door, the same floor, the same house.

Here is a picture of the window, from the inside. It was smaller than I expected I thought it was larger.

Here is Les in the Dungeon Cell, at Carthage it was such a weird room, I didn't expect it too be so dark and dreary, but it was there was only a few slits, and it was super hot in there.

Here is a statue outside the carthage jail, it is of Joseph and Hyrum Smith.

Here is Les looking somber next to the same statue.

There were a bunch of beautiful quotes by Joseph Smith lining the path to the house and visitor center.

Here is the Smith Mansion, we didn't get to go inside this time, because the Community of Christ owns it, and they have to do guided tours so we didn't have enough time to visit it this time. Which sucks, but we see it again soon.

Here are some pictures of the Smith Cemetary. Here is Emma's Smith headstone, and did you know that Emma was older than Joseph. Interesting.

Here was Hyrum's Headstone.
And of course Joseph's Headstone.

Here is the gate leading into the cemetary, with Les and Kiwi walking through it. Les making a sexy pose! Lol, note to whoever goes to Nauvoo, don't bring a dog, not very smart on our part!
Here was the Family living center, it was pretty cool, Les made a rope and watched a lady make bread it was pretty cool!

Here is Les posing next to the Head of Joseph Smith Jr.!

So that was it from Nauvoo,we will go again soon and post more pictures. Now this is what we did on the fourth of July, we ended the night with watch fireworks at O'fallion. Which was fun, it smelt awful though so many people were smoking it was like nauseating. It was awful!

Les did win a Carnival Game, and he one the biggest price! A huge kung fu panda bear it was pretty cool! And Les got to keep his pride lol! Always a good thing!
Here is us in the new St. Louis Cardinal hat we bought! We are making funny faces lol, if you couldn't tell lol!
Here are pictures from the game, the Cardinals killed them 9 to 1 which was pretty awesome, it was a super fun game and we had decent seats! That only cost 20 bucks each! Pretty nice!

Another picture from the game!

Here is us at the game we take lots of these pictures cuz there is just the two of us lol so they are al headshots.

So that was it from the fourth of July and here are some pictures from the St. Louis zoo, it was pretty fun, and it was free! It was really nice until it started raining cats and dogs it was awful. We got so wet it as like we jumped into a pool of water. It was awful. But here are some pictures before it started raining.

Here were the monkeys!
Les was making faces at the animals lol!

Here ar the penguins they were so cute, but super smelly, like yucky fish!

Well that is our update for what we have been up too lately! Right now we are in Quincy Il, and Les is out selling and working hard. He is amazing he works so hard, and I am so grateful for him, he is incredible and I am so proud of him. He has already sold 91 accounts! He is awesome I love him so much, and he is such a good provider for me! How did I get so lucky! Well, I better get out of this hotel room for a couple hours its starting to get to me! Lol!

Moving to St. Louis

So this summer, Les and I decided that we would give pinnacle one last shot, at having Les as a salesman. We had been thinking about going out for the summer ever sense Les quit sprint and started selling security systems for Nation-Wide and Honeywell. For some reason Les just loves knocking on peoples doors, not to mention the money is pretty good too. So after Les found out that Luke Toone's pinnacle office was going to St. Louis Missouri, and in to Kentucky, where Les served some of his mission, we decided to jump into this adventure. Now it was weird, it seemed like everything fell into place so we could move out here. Les got a killer deal on some new tires for our Ford focus, pinnacle paid us to get out of our apartment lease, but then Dan and Amy moved in, so we got to keep the money! Wahoo! My job at the Dr.'s office said that I could come back in September, and work there again! Awesome!!! And we got to bring our baby, Kiwi!
Before we left we wanted to take a trip to Boise, to visit Les's family. So on Friday we drove up to Boise, and spent a quick 36 hours with Les's family, which included a trip to Red Robin (with Sara and Jackson's family) and trip to the canal, where Les's nephew accidently peed on him.... Lol, and a trip to the pizzeria to get some all you can eat pizza which was delicious!! After that we drove back to bountiful utah for a quick pit stop at my paren'ts house to change the oil, and get some sleep, and then we were off to St. Louis Sunday morning. This was us on the start of our 20 hour journey, Les was so excited to move away from Utah, Lol he doesn't really like Utah that much............

This was us, 10 hours into our 20 hour journey.
Our poor Kiwi, I felt so bad for her, she had little room to stretch out, but she actually did really well and let us know when she had to go to th bathroom, it was pretty awesome! I felt so bad though because Les drove the whole time, I even tried to sneak into the drivers seat at gas stations and he wouldn't let me drive once. I couldn't believe we made it in 20 hours though it was a long drive. In that tiny car without much room! So we left at 10 a.m. on Sunday and arrived in St. Louis Missouri at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning........... Unfortunatly the leasing office didn't open up until 9:00a.m. so we slept for an hour at Luke's, and then we moved into our apartment :-) Yeah we were so happy to finally be here!!!!

Our New Addition!

Les and I added a new puppy to our family. Sense Mortimer died, suddenly Les has been missing a canine companion. Mortimer was Les's best friend, and he was quite lonely without him when we moved to Utah, and sense our trip to Boise Idaho, over valentines day, and realizing he really was gone, Les decided he really wanted a new dog, preferably a Pomeranian. We started looking for Pomeranians and couldn't find one that would wasn't a miniature purse dog. So then I remembered that there was a breed of dog that looked like a husky but it didn't get as big, because we have a weight limit at our current apartment. So we decided we would like a miniature American Eskimo. Luckily there was a woman up in north Ogden that breeds them, and we were able to find our cute little Kiwi.

This is her wet, Les is very good with her he baths her every week.

We have had her for three weeks now, and she is 11 weeks old, and we love her very much. She is such a smart dog, and is making it easy on us. She is doing well, with the potty training, and she has such a cute personality. She has had a couple accidents where she has peed on our bed, but that was in the first week. Other than taking care of her we have just been working and going to school. Les is doing great at selling alarm systems, he is so good at selling these, and I'm so grateful he is good at what he does, and loves doing it.

We are moving apartments, next wednesday, because unfortunatly, they are building a gym under our current apartment, and so we decided it would be a lot less quite, if we moved. We are not excited to move, but the quite will be worth it. I am also talking this opportunity to take a crack at decorating, I haven't really done much as decorating goes sense Les and I have been married, so I'm going to try to do a bit more.

Well, that is what is new with us, and we will keep posting pictures of our little Kiwi up!
