Pumpkin Carving

Today L, MJ and I decided it was time to carve some pumpkins!  As you can tell MJ was super excited for his first pumpkin carving!

This was MJ's and my pumpkin.

This was MJ's and L's pumpkin.  I took a little bit more time in picking mine out and I had to win a game of rock paper scissers to keep mine because L was super jealous of its awesomeness.

MJ and I went for a face design where he and L went for a little bit more tricky design, it was a medium in the book that we bought lol.
We finished ours pretty quickly! I know I'm so creative to use the stem as the nose.  But alas it wasn't my idea I copied off of a magazine I saw! But I think it turned out awesome.
L's and MJ's took a little bit more work! And L was pretty intent on making it look amazing.  He even washed out the inside of the pumpkin. Who does that?  I have never heard of or seen anyone wash out the inside of the pumpkin.

But his did turn out pretty amazing I must say!

My mom and I also found these super cool pumpkins at this little stand in Bountiful. They are called turbin pumpkins.

Mine started oozing gross stuff I think it adds to the effect!

They look pretty awesome all together!  L got a little too excited after we were brought some delicious Halloween cupcakes.  So mine ended up all over my face! Gotta Love Him!

We also had a recent trip to the mall to get little MJ a bouncer and get L's eyebrows threaded!  L was a trouper even though he said it hurt, he didn't cry once!!! Just kidding he is a real man and real men never cry!
This is little MJ in his bouncer! He loves it! He gets all wide eyed and excited! We had to add some books underneath it, so he can bounce sense he is still a little too short to touch the ground, but he is getting bigger and bigger every day.
We caught a smile on camera the other day! He is starting to make the cutest faces and he is starting to figure out how to suck his thumb.  Lol it is the cutest thing ever!

We got him the cutest hat and sweatershirt and the mall also! He is definatly a daddy's boy because he loves his hats! And he looks so adorable in the hats just like his daddy!

Proud Mommy!

I am one proud Mommy of my little M.J.  He was a month old Monday, and I can't believe it has already been a month.  He is growing like crazy though, he barely fits into any newborn stuff anymore, because of his long muscular legs.
Its amazing how fast you forget how awful being pregnant, and giving birth was.  Whenever I look at his face I just fall more and more in love and already miss the time when he was first born, but am so happy he is more alert now and so fun to play with.   I have to share some pictures of my little guy, because I am one proud Mommy!
I love the faces he makes, and that he is awake more often now.

I almost caught him smiling in this picture.

He loves sleeping on his belly it is so cute!

Daddy went a little over board on the bubbles, but he loves his bath time just like his mommy.

His first bath at the hospital.

Sleeping peachfully at the hospital.

We gave him some milk but he wasn't too hungry.  Just kidding

We caught the cutest sneeze ever on accident, when we were trying to take a picture.

Right after he was born, when he was only a few minutes old.

Like father like son! Love my two favorite boys.
I am loving being a Mommy! I can't get enough of my little M.J! He is just so amazing and adorable even at 2 a.m.

Little M.J. finally is born!

This was me eating a delicious Normandy Cookie right before they placed the foley tube.
So a week ago today on September 2nd I went in for a Non Stress test, to make sure our little boy was still healthy in the womb.  We they did the test my amniotic fluid was low, it is suppose to be 5 or above and I was at a 4.1 so they decided to induce me that day.  Luckily I was prepared and had packed that morning hoping this very thing would happen.  So we just walked downstairs and into the Labor and Delivery room.  They started me on this cervis riping drug, which after 9 hours of being unsuccessful, they decided to insert a foley bulb to help me dilate sense after 9 hours I had made no progress.  Well that wasn't very fun or comfortable, but it did the trick.  They placed it at 9p.m. and then I decided to get an epidural at 12 a.m., but I didn't end up getting it until around 1:30 a.m.  I was going to try to do the natural birth but, I am a wuse and couldn't make it.  But when they took the tube out at 2:30a.m. I was dilated to a 3, they broke my water and then they started the pitocin after that.  They checked me again at 4 and I was a 5, and then they checked me again at 7 and I was a 9 plus.  So they waited  two more hours and then checked me again and I was a 10 and ready to push.  I started pushing at 9a.m. and pushed for two hours until little M.J. was finally ready to be born.  He was born at 10:54 a.m. and weighed 9 lbs 1.2 ounces, and was 22 inches long.  He was a very big boy.  I could brag and say I was in labor for 25 hours, but the first 9 hours I was pretty much just hanging out, and then after the epidural I was set, so I didn't really have a painful labor or delivery.

He had quite the cone head when he was born.
Not very happy he has such a cute cry.

He has the biggest hands and feet.

Our first Family photo!
L was amazing during the whole labor and delivery.  He was a great coach and helped me every step of the way.  My family was amazing too, treating me like a queen and bringing me food and treats and keeping me lots of company.  L's parents were able to be in town as well, so it was awesome that they could be there too and be able to meet the little man.  We are so blessed to have such an amazing little man to join our family, and for all the love and support everyone has given us.
Today he is a week old, because it took me a day to finish this post LoL.  And he is so cute I love him so much!

Frustrated!

I am normally a pretty patient person, but I am having the hardest time waiting for this little boy to make his entrance into the world.  My official due date was yesterday August 30th, and I had a Doctor's appointment in the morning and I have made like zero progress.  People keep telling me it is okay, you can go from zero to sixty super fast, but I am sick of waiting! I set my induction date for September 6th, but am hoping I don't have to wait until then! I believe the baby has dropped because he is sitting on my bladder most of the time which is can I just tell you the most joyful feeling in the whole entire universe!  And if one more person asks me when I am do I may just loose it on them.  I have tried a few home remedies to try to start labor, like walking a lot, jumping on the tramp, eating spicy food, bouncing on an exercise ball, but nothing.  I am to scared to try castor oil, because I keep reading these horror stories of how it just hurts the baby and doesn't make you go into labor, so I don't know what else I should do! This little guy just isn't ready to leave yet I guess.  Well I have to pee yet again, so hopefully the next post I blog about will be Baby Gray.........

4th Weekly Visit and not the Last!

Well I have another weekly visit today, and nothing has changed! I am just so thrilled this little guy does not want to come out! I set an induction date of September 6th though so at least the end is in site I guess, it still puts me 12 days away, which I thought I was under 10!!! But alas this boy does not want to come.  Maybe I will try eating some spicy food and spraying some pam down there! Hopefully that will make him come!

3rd Weekly Visit

So I'm about a week late on my post, because my last weekly visit was very depressing.  No movement at all! Not even a single conraction! Lucky me! This baby is pretty content to stay inside my belly for a very long time unfortunatly.  On a brighter note L finally made it home! Yeah! We have six days till the due date, so hopefully I will have a little bit of movement at tomorrows doctor appointment!

2nd Weekly Visit

Well I had my second weekly vist today, and guess what! Thats right nothing! Lol, I haven't had a single contraction yet! I consider myself lucky, but I am so uncomfortable most of the time.  I break out in a sweat doing the easiest things, like walking, or getting a drink and a can't sleep very well due to the fact that I am the size of a giant whale!  I'm also just super stressed out about everything.  I'm super excited but really nervous, I'm not sure where we are going to live if we need to get an apartment now, or if we want to try and buy a house, or what we are going to do.  I feel like I have forever to go, but then I have so much to do I just don't have the energy or ability to do it! HELP!!!

Also I found this great cartoon, that fits what I'm feeling right now pretty perfectly!
