Culinary Adventures in San Francisco

We ate at so many delicious restaurants on our trip! Here are some photos we took from our culinary adventure.  I would go into detail, but I probably would make myself start to drool so I will spare you the details.

Grandma was trying to take a picture in video mode! So typical CKJ

I had to add this picture! So Cute! Well that was our trip to San Francisco! We had so much fun, and were so thankful that my brother in law and sister let us stay there and crowd them in their apartment!  I can't wait to go back!

The Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is amazing! I of course had seen it in pictures but to see it in person, man it is very impressive!  We saw the Golden Gate Bridge a few times while staying in San Francisco and one day we drove over it as well.  The first time I saw it was when we went on a run, and we ran towards it.  It is quite the impressive run, and San Francisco has perfect running weather.
Don't mind the sweatyness it was a long five miles, sense I haven't been running a lot lately.  But it was hard to not be impressed by the gorgeous bridge.  Did you know they continually paint it all year long!  Crazyness!  Another really pretty place we say was the Palace of Fine Arts, it is really cool you are just in the middle of the city and then there is this beautiful area with this huge gorgeous building.

We stoped there for a while just to enjoy the scenery!  This place was right by Krissy Fields so we stopped their next.

We also were walking and saw Scott Street so we of course had to stop and snag a quick picture! On another day we went across the bridge to Sausalito.  It was gorgeous over there! I will just let the pictures do the talking.
Driving over the bridge

Grandma fell asleep of course

Playing on the Rock

While we were in San Francisco we also took a tour of Alcatraz.  It was really cool, I would highly recommend it, next time we really want to do the night tour!

We had to take a quick boat ride over to the island.  It is about a mile and a half from San Francisco!
Our little escaped prisoner!

The Showers

It was really cold, especially with the wind that came from the ocean, so M.J. borrowed Grandma's gloves for a little bit!

One of the cells

We got to take an audio tour of the jail, it was really cool because they told a lot of stories about prisoners there.  So this is Grandpa modeling the headset!

One of the Isolation cells!

It had a gorgeous view though!

It was so much fun! The audio tour was awesome too, they even told a story about how three prisoners escaped and were never found.... creepy, but they actually think they died while trying to swim over to San Francisco!  The island was gorgeous, we were discussing how much fun it would be to live on the Island, but only if the wind wasn't there.  Boy, that was a cold wind that came from the ocean!    M.J. did pretty well, he was not very happy with the cold wind, but he was a trouper! I could not imagine having to live in that Jail, you would be cold all the time, it would be miserable!

I left my heart in San Francisco

In October, I found some killer deals on airfare, so L and I decided (well mostly I told L) that we were going to go visit my sister and brother in-law in San Francisco in January.  We started out planning the trip from January 5th to the 10th, but then L found out he was doing a sales blitz in Sacramento the first week in January so he figured he would just drive to San Francisco after his blitz, then we would explore San Francisco for the week, and then he would drive down to L.A. to go on the cruise he one last year selling.  I know he is spoiled! I decided not to go on the cruise because M.J. is still nursing and you aren't allowed to bring babbies under the age of six months, which is dumb but I have been on a view crusies so I wasn't to upset.  However I was very nervous about flying by myself with M.J.  I was so worried that I was going to be that lady with the screaming baby on the plane that screamed the whole trip.  But luckily, M.J. did awesome.  He did fuss a little bit during take off and landing, but other than that he was an angel! I was so lucky!
Little M.J. and I on the plane.
We had so much fun visiting my sister and brother-inlaw, we did and saw so much it was awesome!  Mainly I was just so happy to spend time with them though because it had been almost 5 months sense I had seen my brother-inlaw and he is one of my best friends so I was so so so excited just to hang out with him.  We did lots and lots of shopping, when he and I get together we are just like The Real Housewives, Lol except he is a house husband.  We definatly ate a lot too, boy there are a lot of delicious places to eat in San Francisco.  We tried a new place everyday and no place dissapointed.  I should have taken pictures of all the food we ate, but alas it was gone much to quickly to take a picture. On the first day I was there we explored Nob Hill and stoped at Grace Cathedral and took some pictures.

The we walked down to Union Square to do some shopping of course and we found this adorable owl hat for M.J. We ate lunch at the rotunda in Nieman Marcus and it was beautiful, and not to mention the bread was to die for!
We ate on the top floor of this gorgeous building.  Then of course we did more shopping lol.  Union Square is amazing there are so many stores and many of the stores even have duplicate stores.  M.J. did amazing the whole trip he was such a trouper being carried around everywhere and messing up his schedule. Here are some more pictures from Union Square.

Another day that we were there we decided to go down to the bay and stop at Ghiradele Square, Fisherman's Warf and Pier 39.  It was a busy busy day.

We had to stop at Toast first to energize up! It was amazing!

The Seals at Pier 39 so awesome to see!

Another day we decided to ride the Trolley, sense we couldn't leave San Francisco without saying we did that.  We also went down to Union Square again to do more shopping lol.

We then went to the Nordstrom Cafe for a late lunch and for an awesome view!
