Our adventure in Utah

Les and I have been living in Utah now for about well almost a month. We both got jobs, Les is working at Sprint again, because he is just an amazing cell phone sales man, and I am working as a medical assistant at a Podiatrist office. Which is really cool, but very overwhelming so much to learn. We just got back from Lake Powell which was a super fun trip. (Check out my facebook for pictures and videos) Les is now pretty much amazing at wakeboarding and almost jumped the wake! Which was so awesome! Les learned to drive the boat thanks to Steven, and we all enjoyed the 100+ degree weather boy was it hot!! Now we are working this week and then taking off on saturday night for our cruise!!! Thank you mom and Dad! We will be going on a western carribbean cruise stopping in Roatan, Cayman Islands, Cozumel, and Belize! We feel so blessed to be able to go on this cruise, and we are so excited!!! We really like Utah, but we do miss Boise a lot! Les sometimes cries becuase he missed mortimer so much!!!

Mother's Day

So this Sunday May 10th was Mother's day as we all know, and it was my first Mother's day away from my mommy! I missed making her Breakfast, and hugging her, and talking with her. I did send her a cake, which was delicious I heard, and called her, but I still missed not being able to show her how grateful I am for her on this special day......

It was an enjoyable day though. We went to church and got a chocolate bar, which was tasty delicious, and then we went to Les's parent's house for dinner. Which was very tasty, and very good company. It was a very fun party!!! And the desserts were amazing!!!! I think I gained like 15 pounds that day from all the chocolate, cookies, yummy truffles, and tasty chocolate covered strawberries. I married into the best family!!!

I love you MOMMY you are the best in the whole world!!! I love you!!! Happy Mother's day!! I miss you!

Getting a taste of Les pre-mission life....

Last Friday night, I got a taste of what life use to be like for my loving husband Les. It started out a calm night as we built a fire in his parents back yard, and roasted marshmellows and made smores. Which were so so so delicious...... anywho, we were with a couple from our married ward and they started talking about these hot springs by horseshoebend. Les remebered those from his wild high school days, he went up there and went skinny dipping....... Lol, so all of the sudden it was decided that we were going to go. Which would be fun, but the fact that it was 11:45 p.m., made me a little hesitant. We went home to get our suits on, because alas I am not going to go skinny dipping with a bunch of strangers..... then we met at wal-mart, and started heading out. We reached horseshoe bend at about 1:00a.m. I was so tired and so grumpy, I was about ready to tell Les to turn around, but we had already driven for 30 minutes......... We finally pulled over on this highway in the mountains, with a river right next to us, and a hudge mountain on the other side. At first I thought it was the river we would be sitting in, but no alas we had to climb this giant mountain. Now I was wearing flipflops, because Les had told me that he had climbed down this hill barefoot, so I thought a hill like simplot hill, not a MOUNTAIN.
The next thirty minutes were spent stumbling and crawling up this mountain in darkness, and flipflops. Mort the monster dog, went with us and he did excellent, knocking us over and stepping on our feet, but really he is such an awesome dog, he stayed right with us and never got lost. We finally made it to the springs, and heard some hooten and hollering and we came upon this.......


Now, this is not a picture of the actual springs, it was 1:30 in the morning I and super dark, and I was not about to haul a camera up there. But, it did look like this, it was pretty stunning I have to admit, to have a bunch of springs, going down the side of this giant mountain, it was beautiful. And it would have been a blast except for the drunk people, that showed up. We we first arrived there were only like 5 or 6 people in the first spring, so we hiked and went to the next spring. And we had that all to ourselves for about, oh 5 minutes. Mort didn't really like not being able to see what was in the water, he kept holding on to les with dear life, he was so cute. We all got in and started relaxing, and I was acutally enjoying myself. Then 1 guy came up and asked if he could join us, we thought 1 guy, no harm, well alas 15 people were following him, and all joined us as well. With beer, cigarettes, and many f words. That kind of ruined the moment and I wanted to go home. We started gathering our stuff, which is difficult when 15 people pile their stuff on yours... and then headed down the mountain.

Now again this isn't the trail, but is was this step and rocky.... It was crazy Les made it down their barefoot, and wearing a t-shirt over his legs, as pants. Now that was when he was a teenager, not with me. Me and mort started walking down the path, and mort was such a good boy he even knocked over some people's beer on the way down. But then came the hard part walking down a step rocky path, wet and in flip-flops. Not fun, but somehow I made it down, with a lot of help from Les. We got in the car and headed for home. We arrived home at about 3:30, 4 in the morning and then went to sleep. It was a very interesting and surprisingly fun night!

So last night Les and I got free tickets to the MMA fight at the Qwest Arena. I was pretty excited cuz it was my first weekend night off for like a month....
and the tickets were free so it was a free date night.

We got the tickets through a couple Les sold a couple of phones too.... I guess they liked him so they hooked us up!!!

WooHoo....

We got to sit on the floor pretty close to the cage which was cool, and the fighting began....

Now i'm new to the UFC and MMA fighting world, so I was lookin for some cool action, maybe a little bit of blood..... and some sweet knockouts......

Like none of that happened. Except for the two girl fights.

The first girl fight was awesome..... first round knock out!! She went down so fast it was so awesome....

Second girl fight took a little longer but she went down too. Other than that all the other guy fights were kind of (no offense to the fighters) but lame.

They couldn't take the punches.... which I couldn't take that kind of tourment but come on guys why would you train so long and so hard, just to tap out when he hits you with a few good punches. Oh, well just my thought about the whole fighting thing, if your going to fight and ask people to watch, at least take a few punches.

Les kept saying the whole night he wanted to get in there and fight..... I have mixed feelings about that, I know Les is tough but, I don't want my husband hurt, or have the possibility of dealth for a stupid fight. So Les dear lets leave that to the other men, and those tough girls.

How long did you date? Well, I don't know if you would call it dating.... we went on a few dates here and there but we kind of just spend every second of the day together every day we could, so.... But we "dated" for 3 months.

How long have you been married? We have been married for 6 months now.... only eternity left....

Who eats more sweets? Uh duh, the fatty of the family me!!! I am always the one thats like can I eat a cookie instead of breakfast.....

How old is he? he is 22 almost 23 this August.....

Who is taller? Uh, Lester, if I ever wore heels that made me taller than him, those would be leathal to my health.

Who is smarter? Lester, he knows so much about the gospel it is amazing!!

Who can sing better? Oh definatly Lester because of his high falsetto voice, it is very sexy, kind of like Andy off of the office.

Who does the laundry? Me most of the time, but he helps me when I am lazy......

Who pays the bills? We both do I always right the checks though......

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Well, we kind of switch sides depending on if he wants the window open and the fan going.... I always make him sleep next to the fan I hate being cold at night.....


Who mows the lawn? Lol, well sense we don't have a lawn, I'll say I mow it lol!


Who cooks dinner? Well I do if we are cooking something big, but we really don't cook big dinners just like chicken and vegtables........

Who drives? We both do, if i'm in a bad mood, I normally do..... I don't want to yell at him.

Who is more stubborn? Lester is probably because he won't hug me if we have been fighting I have to hug him..... But I am more stubborn most of the time because sometimes I am just really crazy moody.


Who kissed who first? Oh Les kissed me first.... that was so fun I love kissing you les!


Who asked who out? He asked me out I guess, but I kind of made the first move by flying out to Cinci to met him lol.


Who proposed? He proposed..... I kind of brought up marriage though.... I knew I wanted to marry him the moment I met him, creepy, or cute..... Lol.

Who has more siblings? He does, He has 1 brother and 3 sisters, and all his siblings are married so his family is a lot bigger than mine.



Who wears the pants? He does definatly!


I love you Les, you make my life so amazing!!! I love you so much!!

Baby Fever

So I am now working at the Boise Towne Square mall for Green Tea HP, which is awesome cuz its a job, that pays and that allows me and Les to eat and live. But, it does have some not so positive sides, working at the mall makes me have such Baby Fever. I see all the cute little babies being carried around, and I just start wanting to have a baby. Has anyone else every felt like this??? I thought it was bad when I started going to the University Married ward, but now it is worse cuz i'm exposed to babies everyday. Unfortunatly I think my mom would kill me if she found out I was pregnant or even thinking about getting pregnant........ but sometimes I have to admit having a baby would be pretty fun and exciting..... no doubt hard........ but if it was a little Les I would be super happy!!!!
